	N582 - LE MÉDITERRANÉE NOIR ONE-OF-A-KIND MATERIALS: Mediterranean Coral, Illusion Cut Black Onyx & Sterling SIZE: 19” When I first saw these fabulous matt finish, Black Onyx beads I thought they were tubular cylinders. Because of the unique "Illusion Cut" they fool the eye into seeing them as round. Instead, they are somewhat flattened cylinders with the ends cut at an angle to give the illusion of depth. I have never come across any other stonecutter working this way. They are sleek and modern and very exciting. I've paired them with a magnificent piece of old, rare, Mediterranéan Coral from the coast of Morocco and a Sterling bead inscribed with symbols in the ancient, Ugarit language. You are about to acquire a unique piece of art. The stones were mined by hand and shaped individually by skilled artisans. Every stone is different. The color and texture will vary from stone to stone depending on which mine or source they were derived from. Being one-of-a-kind pieces they will not exactly match each other or the pictures on the site. I try to balance stones as much as possible sorted by color and size.
