Those were the things about New York and its music that inspired Piet Mondrian to create his masterpiece Broadway Boogie Woogie in 1943. His exciting multicolored painting done without using any black that’s currently hanging in The Museum of Modern Art. Well, I believe that he missed out on something even more exciting… with even more energy… the black and white photography of the era… photo’s that captured the true mix and energy of the city. I’ve designed this powerful "black and white" necklace as my tribute to NYC… using Thai Silver for the white, mixed with African Black Onyx squares. This is elegant energy. This is beauty and power. This is fantastic. You are about to acquire a unique piece of art. The stones were mined by hand and shaped individually by skilled artisans. Every stone is different. The color and texture will vary from stone to stone depending on which mine or source they were derived from. Being one-of-a-kind pieces they will not exactly match each other or the pictures on the site. I try to balance stones as much as possible sorted by color and size.
