When Nancy Pelosi stood before the Senate wearing that glorious Pearl Necklace of big, bold Tahitian Pearls, it sent a message. It put a stake through the heart of the idea that powerful women can't wear a necklace bigger than your mother's old fashioned, nondescript pearl necklace to prove that they are as competent as men.

So, I've designed this collection magnificent Pearl Necklaces and Pearl Earrings using combinations of beautiful, uniquely shaped South Sea Pearls in Chocolate, Cinnamon, Rainbows, as well as luscious, lustrous Pink and Peach and excitingly individual Freshwater Pearls. I've combined these Pearls with hand made Silk Wrapped Beads, Sterling Silver from Bali and Thailand, various Shells, Copper and Gold. Each Pearl Necklace and Pearl Earrings are unique, because the Pearl shapes change subtly from one piece to another.

Ancient lore says Pearls are thought to offer the power of love, money, protection, and luck. Pearls encourage wisdom through experience, and quicken the laws of karma.

I agree! Wearing one of these "statement" Pearl Necklaces can only help. Your strength, creativity and individuality will be noticed and admired by all.

By the way, as a thanks to the wonderful people of Bali and the region, I've named the pieces in this collection using the ancient language of Bahasa Indonesia, based on Malay, the "lingua franca" of Southeast Asia. The word "Anting" means Earring. "Kalung" is Necklace. And the words following them are numbers: Satu (1), Dua (2), Tiga (3) etc.

The semi-precious stones I’ve used in many of these pieces were mined by hand and shaped individually by skilled artisans. For Limited Edition pieces this means that every piece is different. The color and texture will vary from stone to stone depending on which mine or source they were derived from. In most instances there will be small, but subtle differences between each piece. I try to balance stones as much as possible sorted by color and size. They also may not exactly match the pictures on the site, partially due to the variations between computers and monitors. I hope that you will enjoy their individuality and their handcrafted qualities. It is part of what makes my jewelry unique.
